Boosey & Hawkes/Rudall Carte woodwind serial numbers 73 Buffet Crampon soprano clarinets, Harmony clarinets, saxophones and oboes. BRASS Besson brass instruments (excluding trombones) serial numbers below 124350 Besson trombones serial numbers below 124350 Distin/Boosey & Co./Boosey & Hawkes brass serial numbers below 560000. When I enter it into the the serial number finder on Buffet's website it says it was made in 1985. The clarinet professor at the school I attend says its much earlier than 1985, and when I did further research, I found a few sites that said from 1945-1957 all the serial numbers of the horns made in this period were lost. It has the basic Buffet logo with Made in France underneath but not model number stamped under that. The serial number is 1083564, which seems very high, although the seller has indicated he thought it was from roughly 2009.
