. Software Update 1.2 is for NAVIGON branded North American GPS Navigators only. This update is not appropriate for use on NAVIGON 2100/2120 max and Pocket Loox N100 devices, neither is it compatible with any NAVIGON devices made and sold in Europe. Sorry we couldn't be helpful. I have been searching all over the internet for information about updating the Firmware and Software for the NAVIGON 7100. So far I had no luck, not even with future release dates. Does anyone know if there are going to be updating the POI’s.
- Normally I would wikipedia this information but there is nothing on it. Alos Navigon.com doesn't seem to have much for North America users.

  • Map updates, which include POI updates, are typically released by manufacturers about once per year. Firmware/software updates are released periodically as needed to fix bugs.
  • I had contact with a Navigon Tech and he told me that a release was coming the last week of January 2008 for all three North American Units. and to watch the website.

  • That sounds about right as we were also told that a firmware update was in the pipeline to address a few issues shortly after CES was over.

    Here's what they say has been updated. Nothing much about routing...
    1. Easier POI searches
    - Easier Revamped POI Proximity Searches -- greatly improved ability to do a nearby search for pois near an address or poi

    - Updated turn prompts expresses the distance to maneuver in '500 feet' instead of '0.1 miles'
